Assessment

Assessment Practices:

Teachers use formative and summative assessments in most subjects with units ending in a quiz with key information cycled back to. Teachers keep a track of children who are performing below the expected level and provide support. Those performing above the expected level are also tracked and opportunities for further challenge are built in.

Leaders and teachers use this assessment data to provide targeted support for the children.

 

Assessment Frequency:

Teacher assessment of learning is made against every subject termly.

Reading, Writing, Maths and Grammar are assessed more formally using (PUMA PiRA GAPS) at the end of each term.

Official KS2 SATS happen in May for our Year 6.

Year 4 has the MTC (multiplication table check) in June.

Year 1 have an official phonics assessment in June.

Reception has the EYFS profile in June.
