Funding & Help With Childcare Costs

Our Nursery at Wood End Primary School workes hard to adapt to meet the needs of our community, we currently offer both the ‘traditional’ 15 hour (1/2 days) and the government funded 30 hour (6 hour day) places. Nursery is open to children who are three years old by 31st August in the year in which they start Nursery.

We are currently improving our purpose-built self-contained Nursery space offering both indoor and outdoor learning opportunities. This allows us to deliver an engaging and creative curriculum whilst putting the child at the centre of their learning journey. Many of our Nursery children benefit from joining our Reception classes – they are familiar with the surroundings and are able to quickly build on the foundations created in Nursery.

To see if  you are entitled to 30 hours free childcare.  Please check the information on the government information site:

Should you be eligible please ensure that you apply via this link, you must apply by the end of April for your code to be valid for September. You will be issued with an eligibility code, without this code we cannot provide you with the 30 hour nursery provision without charge. If you are not eligible for the 30 hour code please contact the school office to discuss daily costs.
