Modern Foreign Language (MFL) - French
At Wood End Primary School, our French curriculum for Years 3 to 6 aims to build children's confidence and fluency in speaking and understanding French. Through a variety of interactive lessons, including songs, games, and role-playing, pupils develop their vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar skills. As children progress, they engage with more complex language structures and expand their ability to converse in French about everyday topics such as family, hobbies, and school life. We also explore the rich cultural aspects of French-speaking countries, helping students gain a deeper understanding of traditions, festivals, and customs. Our goal is to inspire a love for languages and to equip students with valuable skills for their future learning.
