Music

At Wood End Primary School, our Music curriculum aims to inspire and nurture a passion for music in every child. Across all year groups, children are introduced to a wide range of musical styles and instruments, building their skills through singing, playing, and listening. From the earliest years, children explore rhythm, melody, and simple notation, gradually progressing to more complex concepts as they move through the school. Our children have the opportunity to perform individually and in groups, developing confidence and teamwork. By fostering creativity, self-expression, and a love for music, we aim to provide a foundation for a lifelong appreciation of music and the arts.

We follow the Charanga music scheme with breaks with Ealing music service for drumming in year 3 and ukulele in year 5.
